Terms and conditions

The following terms and conditions govern the use of the website and the purchase of goods and services from the site. Please read them carefully before continuing to use the rest of the site. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the site, unless you are doing so under the guidance of a parent or guardian. In these terms and conditions "you" refers to the person using the website and "we" or "us" refers to kuka-me ltd . We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions, and if we make substantial changes we will notify existing customers by email.

1. SECURITY
We understand that security is a priority for you, because its one of ours too. Debit and credit card details are not stored and cannot be viewed by anyone using the website, including site administrators. If you create an account with us, we will retain your contact details, including your billing and shipping addresses and details of transactions you make with us. We do not share this information with any third parties.
Any personal data gathered by us in your use of this site will be recorded electronically and only used in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998.
Cookies: A cookie is a small file stored on your computer by a web site to give you a unique ID. Cookies help make it easier and faster for you to use our site because it can remember if you’ve visited the site, and they help us provide you with the information you need about your gift reminders or account details – when and where you need it.


2. YOUR ACCOUNT
You can print invoices and order/dispatch confirmations, and view the status of any transactions you have made, at any time, by logging into your account. Please retain all written correspondence with us for your records.

3. PRICING
The price of each product will be as stated on www.kuka-me.com at the time the order is submitted. Prices shown on the Website are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP), Euros or US Dollars. Prices are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate, unless you have selected an alternative country where VAT is not chargeable.
Our prices may change at any time. If we discover that the price has changed or that there has been a pricing error when we receive your Order we will contact you and ask if you wish to proceed at the correct price. If you confirm that you do wish to proceed, please remember that we will still not be under an obligation to supply the Product(s) until we have sent you the second email confirming your Order.
Product pricing does not include the cost of delivery and freight insurance, as that cost is dependent upon the value of the item(s) purchased and so is advised in addition to the prices stated.

4. CANCELLING AN ORDER
If you would like to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible, by emailing info@kuka-me.com, and quoting the cardholder's name, the billing address and the order reference number, shown on your order confirmation. If your order has already been dispatched, please follow the instructions for returns, shown below.

5. PAYMENT
Once we dispatch an order, we will charge your account and send you an email confirming dispatch and receipt of payment. Once we have received correct payment, you will own the goods. Payment is accepted from all major debit and credit cards via PayPal or Google checkout mechanisms, as specified on the payment page of the checkout process. Payment is accepted in British pounds, US dollars, or Euros.

6. DELIVERY
Please see our "Shipping and Returns" page for details about delivery times, costs and locations. Within the UK deliveries are made and guaranteed by Royal Mail Special Delivery; within the EU, by Royal Mail AirSure, and within the US, by the US Postal Service Priority Mail. Please contact us on info@kuka-me.com if you would like to arrange delivery via Federal Express. We will send you a "confirmation of payment and dispatch" email once your order has been dispatched. We will always endeavour to deliver parcels on time, however, delivery times are for general guidance only. Circumstances beyond our reasonable control may result in a late delivery and we will not be held liable in such an event. Please ensure that the delivery address you provide in the checkout process is accurate and someone is available at the address to receive and sign for the delivery. Please note that we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes or military bases and we reserve the right to cancel a purchase agreement if we are unable to deliver to the address provided in the checkout process.

7. RETURNS
We hope that you are completely satisfied with our products and services, and we will endeavour to ensure this is the case. However, you may make a return for refund or exchange, free of charge, within 14 days of the delivery date, if goods are returned unworn and undamaged. Please note, you have a legal obligation to keep goods in your possession until returned - except in the case of gifts, and to take reasonable care of the goods when they are in your possession. Please kindly store your item/s in the soft cloth pouch provided, to protect them from light, hard surfaces and dust. For hygiene reasons we are unable to accept returns of earrings with posts for pierced ears, unless they were damaged or defective at the time of delivery. Please contact us at info@kuka-me.com to make a return. Making a return does not affect your statutory rights. If you wish to return a gift, or have received a damaged item, or an item in error, please refer to the relevant sections below. A refund of the price of returned goods will be made to the purchaser's account once we receive the returned item/s. If you would like to make an exchange and the purchase price of an item you select for exchange differs from the original purchase price of the returned item/s, the purchaser's account will be credited or charged to make up the difference.

8. RETURNING A GIFT
If you wish, you may return a gift free of charge within 14 days of the delivery date if it is returned undamaged and unworn. A refund can be made to the original purchaser upon request. We cannot refund or credit the account of a gift recipient. Alternatively, we can exchange the gift if it is returned undamaged and unworn within 14 days of the delivery date. If the purchase price amounts to less than the original purchase price of the gift, the difference will be refunded to the gift purchaser at their request or given in the form of a gift card to the gift recipient or purchaser. If the purchase price of an item chosen for exchange, amounts to more than the purchase price of the original gift, the difference will be charged to the gift recipient or the gift purchaser subject to their request. If you prefer, you can request a gift certificate, at the full value of the gift as an alternative to making an exchange. Gift cards are redeemable at any time of year and do not expire. If you wish to return a gift, we request that you keep the goods in your possession until you return them and to take reasonable care of the goods when they are in your possession. Please follow the instructions enclosed in your parcel if you wish to make a return. Making a return does not affect your statutory rights.

9. DAMAGED ITEMS
If you receive an item in error, or faulty goods, please accept our sincere apologies, and follow the instructions contained in your parcel to make a free return. Upon receiving the faulty item we will dispatch a replacement item. If a replacement is unavailable you may request a different product of similar value or a refund. We reserve the right to determine whether an item is faulty, and therefore whether a return can be accepted for refund or exchange after 14 days from the delivery date. Making a return does not affect your statutory rights.

10. JEWELLERY CARE
In order to keep your jewellery in beautiful condition, we recommend that you store your pieces in the soft cloth pouches provided, when they are not being worn. Please keep them dry and remove them when washing, swimming or cleaning with chemical agents. These measures will help to protect them from light, dust, moisture, hard surfaces and chemical abrasion, and will prevent jewellery from becoming scratched, tarnished, discoloured or accumulating bacteria. If a piece does become slightly tarnished over time, you can clean it by gently rubbing it with a soft cloth, a little water and a drop of washing up liquid, and then drying it thoroughly before use. We are happy to clean kuka-me pieces at two or more year intervals.

11. PRIVACY POLICY
When a visitor to the site gives us their email address, or sends us email correspondence, we retain their email address. We do not share our email lists with any third parties. We may very occasionally email you regarding orders, transactions, events and your customer relationship with us. If you request a party invitation to be mailed to your postal address, you will be placed on the mailing list and may very occasionally receive mailings from us. We do not share our mailing lists with any third parties. At any time, you may choose to opt-out from these mailings by contacting us at info@kuka-me.com and requesting to be unsubscribed. We retain information provided by our site visitors, such as transaction information and contact details, for our records. We do not share this information with third parties.

12. TRADEMARKS AND COPYRIGHTS
All designs, including the kuka-me box are the property of Kuka-me Ltd and must not be reproduced, resold, copied, distributed or displayed without written consent from us.

13. THE WEBSITE
We own the copyright of the contents of this website, including the images. You may not distribute, republish, display, post or transmit any part of the website without written consent. You may print or download content for your own personal and non-commercial use. You shall not use the website to transmit or post any computer viruses. We cannot guarantee that the website is free from computer viruses, and you should take precautions in this respect. The site may contain links to external websites and these links are not under our control. We cannot be held responsible for such websites and cannot make guarantees about them. We will try to ensure that the website is always available, however we will not be liable if the website is not available. We reserve the right to terminate the website or remove any of the services on it with immediate effect at any time, for example if: there is a change in the law that limits our ability to provide the site or events beyond our control stop us providing the website, such as technical difficulties. If you would like to print pages from the website, we recommend that you print in a landscape format, and if you have trouble reading the text in taupe, please print in black and white. Please note: the weights and dimensions specified on the website are approximate and provided for general guidance only.

14. PHOTOGRAPHY
The size and colour of photographic images displayed online vary from one computer monitor to the next, depending on technical properties. While our website is as accurate as possible, we will not be held liable if the colours and sizes of the real items do not match those seen on your computer screen exactly.

15. HEALTH AND SAFETY
Please keep our products out of reach of small children at all times in order to protect them from choking or injury. We recommend that you remove your jewellery before going to sleep.

16. LIABILITY AND APPLICABLE LAW
UK law shall govern the purchase agreement and the parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) shall not apply. We take no responsibility for any loss or damage suffered as a result of our goods or services, except as required by UK law.
