New collections from Kuka-me & Reema Pachachi

Today I have added two new collections for you.

The first, Fragments, has taken sometime to pull together. The Pandemic slowed things down of course, but also somehow it took some time to bring these pieces to some kind of readiness. The pieces express both the fragility and the resilience of small things.

The second, La Traviata, is an extension of an existing collection not previously available on the website. Using pale pink pearls and Rose Gold vermeil, (Gold plate on Silver), it is quietly Romantic and flattering for all skin types.

FRAGMENTS

The starting point for this collection was one of the materials/textures I used for one of the collections I designed for MaxMara. I found myself fascinated, as I so often am, with the edges of fragments of this material. I am interested in what happens when things start to fray and I love the borders between solid material and space. The holes and spaces are as important to me as the solid silver edges. It reminds me of pieces that are on their way to becoming, but not there yet. Also they are like bits of handwriting to me, or rather unstructured mark-making…and oddly these pieces remind me of City-scapes, urban skylines…

LA TRAVIATA

This is a collection I designed exclusively for the wonderful Glyndebourne Opera House to celebrate their production of La Traviata and to sell in their shop and website. They have kindly allowed me to sell it on our Kuka-me website. I designed the collection to express both the compelling femininity of Violetta (the central, tragic character of the opera) and also her bravery and joy of life. I feel the pieces are pretty but still strong. I have reconfigured the collection with pink pearls (in a variety of shades) this time, to use only with the vermeil pieces (Rose Gold plated on Silver). These are a limited edition as I only have a small supply of these wonderful pearls.

Fragments and La Traviata are both available to shop on our website now!

I hope you love these collections as much as we do!

All the best, Reema
